Christian Association for Prison Aftercare

CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION FOR PRISON AFTERCARE

CAPA is administered through the Christian love and support of its various members across the country. A few of the organizations that devote a substantial amount of time to CAPA's daily operations include Transition of Prisoners, Inc. and Sheep Street Enterprise. Transition of Prisoners, Inc.

Transition of Prisoners, Inc. (TOP®) is formerly a ministry of Prison Fellowship Ministries. It has provided aftercare services to ex-prisoners and their families since 1993. Its primary objective is the rehabilitation of ex-prisoners through a comprehensive program of church integration, instruction, referrals and systematic mentoring.

Sheep Street Enterprise

Sheep Street Enterprise takes an active role in providing Christian books and resources to the prison aftercare community. Operated by Joseph Williams, he recommitted his life to Christ when he was 28. He graduated from William Tyndale College with a Bachelor of Religious Education degree, with a double major in Urban Studies and Bible in 1988. He received a Masters of Arts degree in applied sociology from Wayne State University in 1994. He has served as Managing Director for Network for Life and Detroit Transition of Prisoners, both outreaches of Prison Fellowship Ministries. He is the founder and CEO of Transition of Prisoners, Inc. He and his wife, Sharon, have two sons and two daughters.
